Congratulations, you’ve just left a review on Rent Rabbit. So, now the question is, how does the payment system work on Rent Rabbit and what do you need to do to get paid – well don’t worry, we’re about to explain the process.
Completing Rent Rabbit’s 3-Step Verification Process
The critical first step to getting paid for your review is to ensure you’ve completed Rent Rabbit’s unique 3-step verification process – with this process you can be safe knowing that the reviews are real. It works like this:
- Proof of Tenancy: Upload proof of tenancy documentation via the review process or the dashboard.
- Identity Verification with Confidence: We use world leading anti-fraud detection to programmatically confirm the identity of users preventing fraudsters whilst minimising friction for our users.
- Review Verification: Reviews are individually considered by our human content assessment team (no robots) prior to being published ensuring they’re informative and work to keep our reviewers safe by removing names and any other nasties.
Once you’ve completed the verification process, there’s only one more step – telling us where you’d like the money sent.
Setting Up Your Bank Details
A super simple and very secure step – Rent Rabbit uses Stripe, one of the worlds largest online payment processing platforms, so we don’t directly handle these details. It’s very likely, if you’ve ever bought anything online you’ve entered your details into Stripe’s network before.
- Log in to your Rent Rabbit account
- Navigate to the Bank Account tab in the dashboard.
- Enter your BSB and Account Number.
That’s it, you’re all done 😉
How To Make A Withdrawal
It’s easy! Once you earn money it’s instantly reflected in your Dashboard and is available for withdrawal on a 2-day rolling basis.
- Log in to your Rent Rabbit account
- Click Balance in the dashboard
- Select Withdraw
- Follow the directions to Withdraw
Fees
There is a withdrawal fee calculated in line with Stripe’s withdrawal system. The fee is calculated as $2 per withdrawal plus 0.25% of the withdrawal amount + $0.25.
Other Things to Know
90 Day Limit: Stripe will hold the funds in your digital wallet (displayed in the Rent Rabbit Dashboard) until told to payout for up to 90 days. After 90 days Stripe will automatically distribute the funds to your nominated bank account.
This function is only available to renters in Australia and with an Australian Bank Account.
